The Role
We are seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to launch their career in finance while gaining hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting. As the Junior Financial Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams within the LSS Strategic Partners entities and across other A&M entities.
- Financial Data Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze financial data from various sources to support business decision-making.
- Reporting & Presentations: Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and presentations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support financial planning activities, including budgeting and scenario analysis.
- Financial Modeling: Help develop financial models to evaluate business performance and support strategic initiatives.
- Database & Spreadsheet Management: Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets for accuracy and efficiency.
- KPI Monitoring: Track key financial metrics and identify trends that inform strategic decisions.
- Month-End & Quarterly Reporting: Assist in closing processes and contribute to financial reporting cycles.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Support senior analysts and leadership with special financial projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Familiarity with financial software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, Concur, or AvidBill is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
- Knowledge of SQL for data analysis.
- Understanding of risk assessment and financial controls.
