Junior Financial Analyst

The Role

We are seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to launch their career in finance while gaining hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, evolving organization.
As the Junior Financial Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams within the LSS Strategic Partners entities and across other A&M entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Data Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze financial data from various sources to support business decision-making.
  • Reporting & Presentations: Assist in preparing financial statements, management reports, and presentations.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support financial planning activities, including budgeting and scenario analysis.
  • Financial Modeling: Help develop financial models to evaluate business performance and support strategic initiatives.
  • Database & Spreadsheet Management: Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets for accuracy and efficiency.
  • KPI Monitoring: Track key financial metrics and identify trends that inform strategic decisions.
  • Month-End & Quarterly Reporting: Assist in closing processes and contribute to financial reporting cycles.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Support senior analysts and leadership with special financial projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Familiarity with financial software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, Concur, or AvidBill is a plus.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of SQL for data analysis.
  • Understanding of risk assessment and financial controls.
